Membrane filter plate structure
Made of flexible, inflatable membranes (usually food-grade rubber material),normally will be gasketed type membrane, when inflated, the membrane will compress the spent grains to squeeze out residual wort.
Mash Filter Process Flow
Filling: Mash is pumped into chambers formed between mash filter plates.
Filtration: mash passes through filter cloths while grains are retained.
Membrane Compression: Membranes inflate to press grains to extract maximum wort.
Filter Cake Discharge: Spent grains (spent cake) are delivered after compression.
